Megan A. Burroughs is an associate attorney who joined the firm in 2006. She is a general practitioner who works in several areas including: civil litigation, family law, and criminal law.
Megan is a Minnesota native, growing up in the small community of Princeton. She now calls Austin home where her extended family has been deeply rooted for several years.
Megan graduated from the University of Minnesota-Duluth, summa cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Criminology, and a minor in English. During her time as a student, she interned as a law clerk for the Carlton County Attorney.
In 2005, Megan received her juris doctor from the University of Minnesota Law School. While at law school, she was a Minnesota Justice Foundation volunteer and served as a student attorney for the Tenth Judicial District Public Defender's Office in Anoka.
Prior to joining Adams, Rizzi & Sween, Megan worked as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Mower County District Court.
Megan is active in the community and is a past member of the City of Lakes AmeriCorps where she served as a volunteer at an inner-city elementary school in North Minneapolis.
